History of Goehner
Goehner was officially planned and marked out on a map (this is called "platting") in 1887. This happened when the North Western Railroad extended its tracks to this spot.
The village was named after John F. Goehner, a local businessman and politician. Goehner officially became an incorporated village in 1913. This means it gained its own local government.
