Good Water is a small place in the state of Missouri, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it's part of the larger Iron County.
Good Water is located in the northwest part of Iron County. You can find it about 4.5 miles east of a town called Viburnum. It's also about 3.5 miles southeast of Courtois, which is in the next county over, Washington County. A stream called Courtois Creek flows right past this area.
Good Water's History
The name "Good Water" comes from the excellent quality of the springwater found nearby. People in the past thought the water was really good to drink!
A post office was opened in Good Water in 1871. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. It stayed open until 1943.
