History of Goodland
The town of Goodland was first planned out in 1861. It got its name because the soil in the area was very good for farming. A post office has been open in Goodland since 1861, helping people send and receive mail.
Two important places in Goodland are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is a special list of buildings, sites, and objects that are important to American history. These places are the Goodland-Grant Township Public Library and the McCairn-Turner House.

Near Goodland, you can find the Kentland crater. This is a unique place where a limestone quarry is located. It is between Goodland and another town called Kentland.
