Graciane Finzi was born in Casablanca, Morocco. She started her music journey at the Casablanca Conservatory. Her parents were teachers there, and Georges Friboulet managed the school.
When she was just ten years old, Graciane moved to Paris. She joined the Paris Conservatory. There, she studied piano with Joseph Benvenuti. During this time, she became very interested in composing her own music.
Her Career as a Composer
After finishing her studies, Graciane Finzi began working as a composer. She held important roles in the music world. From 1975 to 1979, she was the music director for the Festival de la Défense.
In 1979, she started teaching at the Paris Conservatory. She also served as vice-president of the International Society for Contemporary Music (SIMC).
