Granadero Baigorria is a city in the south of the Santa Fe province in Argentina. It is located just north of Rosario, right on the western shore of the Paraná River. The city is part of the larger Greater Rosario area. About 43,000 people lived there in 2015.
Granadero Baigorria is named after Juan Bautista Baigorria. He was a cavalry soldier in the Mounted Grenadiers. These soldiers fought for General José de San Martín. Juan Bautista Baigorria was part of the Battle of San Lorenzo. This battle happened on February 3, 1813, and was an important part of the Argentine War of Independence.
