Grand Island is a cool island located in Northern California. It lies between a waterway called Sycamore Slough and the big Sacramento River. For many years, it was also known as Taylor Island or La Isla de los Quenensias.

Explorers like Cadwalader Ringgold and Henry Lange created these maps. On their maps, Grand Island was labeled as "Taylor Island."
