The Gravina Museum of Fine Arts (also known as Museo de Bellas Artes Gravina or MUBAG) is a fantastic art museum located in the city of Alicante, Spain. It's housed inside a beautiful old building called the Palacio del Conde de Lumiares. This special building was constructed between 1748 and 1808 and is recognized as a historical monument.

The museum focuses on amazing paintings and sculptures from the Alicante region. You can see art from the 1500s all the way up to the early 1900s.

Discovering MUBAG's Art Collection

The Gravina Museum of Fine Arts has nearly 500 artworks. These pieces come from the collection of the provincial council. You'll find many different types of art here.

Famous Artists and Their Works

MUBAG displays art by some very important artists. One special piece is a sculpture by Francisco Salzillo. He was a famous Spanish sculptor.

You can also see a portrait of King Ferdinand VII. This painting was created by a talented artist from Valencia named Vicente López Portaña.
