Grays (sometimes called Gray) is a small, unincorporated community located in Stevens County, in the U.S. state of Washington. An unincorporated community is a place that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it's usually managed by the county it's in.
History
The community of Grays has a simple but interesting past. It was named after a local land owner named William Gray.
A post office, which is a place where mail is sent and received, was opened in Grays in 1901. This post office served the community for many years. It stayed in operation for over three decades, finally closing its doors in 1935.
Today, Grays remains a quiet, unincorporated community in Washington state.
