Engràcia Pareto Homs (born May 6, 1889 – died September 1, 1973) was a very talented Spanish singer. She was better known as Graziella Pareto. She had a special type of singing voice called a soprano leggiero. This means she could sing very high notes with a light, clear sound. Graziella was one of the most important sopranos between World War I and World War II. People remember her as one of the best "coloratura sopranos" from Spain in the early 1900s. Other famous singers like Maria Barrientos and Mercedes Capsir were also part of this group.

Graziella Pareto's Early Life and Training
Graziella Pareto was born in Barcelona, Spain. She loved music and decided to study singing in Milan, Italy. Milan is a very famous city for opera and music.
Her First Performances
Graziella made her first appearance on stage in Barcelona in 1906. She sang the role of Micaëla in the opera Carmen. Two years later, in 1908, she performed in Madrid. There, she sang the part of Amina in the opera La sonnambula.
Becoming a Star Singer
In 1914, Graziella Pareto made her debut at La Scala in Milan. La Scala is one of the most famous opera houses in the world. She sang the role of Gilda from the opera Rigoletto. This was a very important step in her career.
Performing Around the World
Graziella traveled and sang in many big cities. She performed in Paris, London, Vienna, and St. Petersburg. She also had a long connection with the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She sang there almost every year from 1909 to 1927. From 1921 to 1922, she also sang with the Chicago Opera Company in the United States.
