Green Valley is a community in Solano County, California, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area defined by the government for counting people, but it's not an official city or town.
Green Valley is located in the northeast part of the San Francisco Bay Area. It's about 45 miles (72 km) from Sacramento and 38 miles (61 km) from San Francisco. It's also close to Napa Valley, famous for its vineyards. The name "Green Valley" has been used for this area for over 100 years.
