Greenleaf is a small city located in Canyon County, Idaho, in the United States. In 2010, about 846 people lived there. Greenleaf is part of the larger Boise-Nampa metropolitan area.
The town was started in the early 1900s by a group called the Quakers. They are a religious group known for their peaceful beliefs. Greenleaf was named after John Greenleaf Whittier, a famous Quaker poet and a strong supporter of ending slavery.
