Greg Mauldin, born on June 10, 1982, is an American professional ice hockey player. He plays as a forward. He recently played for the Stavanger Oilers in Norway. For a short time, he was a coach for a special USA Hockey team.

Playing Career
Starting in Junior and College Hockey
Greg Mauldin started playing ice hockey with the Boston Junior Bruins in 1999. He was a very talented and fast player. He was named to the All-Star Team twice. In 2000, he even won the MVP Award for his league.
In 2001, he went to the UMass Amherst college team. He scored 94 points in 98 games. He helped his team reach the 2003 Hockey East Championship game. After three great seasons, he joined the Columbus Blue Jackets. They had picked him in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Making it to the NHL
Mauldin made his first appearance in the NHL with the Blue Jackets. He played six games for them. He spent the 2004–05 season with the Syracuse Crunch. This team was the Blue Jackets' minor league team in the AHL. He scored 27 points that season.
In 2005–06, he was traded to the Minnesota Wild. He then played for their AHL team, the Houston Aeros.
Playing for More Teams
In the 2006–07 season, Mauldin played for the Bloomington Prairie Thunder. Later, he moved to Sweden to play. Before the 2007–08 season, he joined the Binghamton Senators in the AHL. He then signed a contract with their main team, the Ottawa Senators. He played the 2008–09 season back with Binghamton.
On July 3, 2009, Mauldin signed with the New York Islanders. In the 2009–10 season, he led their AHL team, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, in scoring. He had 54 points in 77 games. He played one game for the Islanders in the NHL.
Time with the Colorado Avalanche
In 2010, Mauldin signed with the Colorado Avalanche. He started the season with their AHL team, the Lake Erie Monsters. He was later called up to the Avalanche. On November 12, 2010, he scored his first NHL goal. It was a "short-handed" goal, meaning his team was playing with one less player. He was named the second best player of the game.
Mauldin played 29 games for the Avalanche. He scored 10 points. He even scored two goals and two assists in one game. He was named the best player of that game. He later returned to the Lake Erie Monsters. He helped them reach the playoffs for the first time.
In the 2011–12 season, Mauldin played for the Lake Erie Monsters again. He had a good start but was limited by injuries. He finished with 34 points in 59 games.
Playing in Europe
After his time in North America, Mauldin went to Europe. In 2012, he signed with HC Fribourg-Gottéron in Switzerland. He played five seasons there. In 2014, he became an assistant captain for the team.
In 2017, he moved to Germany. He signed a one-year deal with ERC Ingolstadt. The next year, he signed with KHL Medveščak Zagreb in Croatia. He played 23 games there. Then, in December 2018, he joined the Stavanger Oilers in Norway. He continued to play for the Oilers for several seasons.
Coaching Career
In October 2020, Mauldin became an assistant coach. He worked with the USNTDP Men's U18 team.
