Gregory Fiennes, 10th Baron Dacre (born before 25 June 1539 – died 25 September 1594) was an English nobleman. He lived during the time of Queen Elizabeth I.

Early Life and Family
Gregory Fiennes was the son of Thomas Fiennes, 9th Baron Dacre and Mary Neville. He was born in Herstmonceux, Sussex, England. He was baptized on June 25, 1539. He might have been named after Thomas Cromwell's son, Gregory.
Family Challenges
In 1541, when Gregory was very young, his father faced serious legal trouble. As a result, the family lost their lands and titles. This was ordered by King Henry VIII.
Gregory's mother, Mary Neville, worked hard to get their family's properties back. When Queen Elizabeth I became queen in 1558, she helped the family. She gave the title of Baron Dacre back to Gregory. His older brother, Thomas, had sadly died from the plague at age 15.
Life as a Baron
Gregory Fiennes became the 10th Baron Dacre. He is shown with his mother in a famous painting by Hans Eworth. This painting was made in 1559.

Marriage and Family Life
In 1565, Gregory Fiennes married Anne Sackville. Anne was the daughter of Sir Richard Sackville. Gregory and Anne had one daughter named Elizabeth. Sadly, Elizabeth died when she was very young.
Later Years and Legacy
Gregory Fiennes passed away on September 25, 1594. He died in Chelsea, England. He was buried at Chelsea Old Church. His tomb is a beautiful marble monument that also includes his wife and daughter. After his death, his sister, Margaret Fiennes, 11th Baroness Dacre, became the next Baroness Dacre.
