Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir (born November 11, 1986) is an amazing singer, songwriter, and violinist from Iceland. Outside of Iceland, she is known simply as Greta Salóme. She is also a violinist in the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.

Greta has represented Iceland twice in the famous Eurovision Song Contest. In 2012, she sang "Never Forget" with another singer named Jónsi. They made it to the final round! She returned to Eurovision in 2016, this time as a solo artist, with her song "Hear Them Calling".

Her Music Journey

Greta Salóme released her first album, called In the Silence, on November 16, 2012. This album included her Eurovision song "Never Forget" in both English and Icelandic. The Icelandic version was called "Mundu Eftir Mér".

In August 2012, she also released a song called Everything Around Me. Later, Greta was chosen to compete in Iceland's selection process for Eurovision 2016. Her song for this competition was originally "Raddirnar". She did very well and qualified for the final.

For the final, her song was changed to English and renamed "Hear Them Calling". Greta won the national final and got to represent Iceland at Eurovision again! She performed "Hear Them Calling" in the first semi-final of Eurovision on May 10, 2016.

Greta has also been working on her second album. She even wrote a song called "Crazy" for another singer, Raya, which was part of the selection for the UK's Eurovision entry in 2018.
