Grimmet is a small place in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and people, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. It's located in the western part of Howell County, in the state of Missouri. You can find it about one mile north of Tabor Creek. It's also south of Missouri Route 14 and about 3.5 miles east of a place called Siloam Springs.
History
Grimmet has a short but interesting history. A post office was opened here in 1893. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years. It stayed open until 1937. The community was named after a person named Samuel Grimmett. He was an early settler, which means he was one of the first people to live in and help build up the area. Samuel Grimmett was important because he helped the community get its own post office.
