Where is Gulberwick Located?
Gulberwick sits on the island of Mainland in the Shetland archipelago. Shetland is a group of islands far north of mainland Scotland. Its close distance to Lerwick, the largest town, makes it a convenient place to live.
A Village That's Growing
In recent years, Gulberwick has seen more and more houses being built. This growth is happening because it's so close to Lerwick. Many people choose to live in Gulberwick and travel a short distance to work or shop in the capital.
Gulberwick Church
The village is also home to Gulberwick Church. This church is one of three main places of worship for the Lerwick and Bressay Parish Church. This parish is the largest group of church members in Shetland that belongs to the Church of Scotland.
