Guri Vesaas (born January 13, 1939) is a Norwegian writer and translator. She is well-known for her work with children's books. She also worked as an editor at the publishing house Samlaget.

Guri Vesaas was born in Vinje, Norway. Her parents were famous writers. Her father, Tarjei Vesaas, was a novelist. Her mother, Halldis Moren Vesaas, was a poet. Guri also has a brother named Olav Vesaas.
She studied at the University of Oslo. She finished her studies in 1965.
Guri Vesaas has translated more than 50 children's books into Norwegian. She used the special name Hanna Midtbø for her translations. This name comes from Midtbø, which was the name of the farm in Vinje where she grew up.
