Hailey Rhode Bieber (born November 22, 1996), whose maiden name was Baldwin, is an American model, socialite, and businesswoman. She has appeared in ads for big brands like Guess, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Early life and family

Hailey Rhode Baldwin was born in Tucson, Arizona. Her father is actor Stephen Baldwin, who is the youngest of the famous Baldwin brothers. Her mother, Kennya Deodato Baldwin, is a graphic designer.

Hailey's mother is from Brazil and has Italian and Portuguese roots. Her father's family comes from England, Ireland, Scotland, France, and Germany. Hailey's grandfather on her mother's side is the Brazilian musician Eumir Deodato.

Hailey was taught at home when she was a child. She also studied ballet at the American Ballet Theatre in New York for many years. She was named after Halley's Comet, a famous comet.

Becoming a Model

Hailey Bieber started her modeling career by signing with Ford Models. She appeared in popular magazines such as Tatler, LOVE, V, and i-D. Her very first ad campaign was for the clothing brand French Connection in late 2014.

In October 2014, Hailey walked in her first fashion shows. She modeled for Topshop and the French designer Sonia Rykiel. Later that year, she was part of a photo shoot for Love magazine. This also included a short film released on the magazine's YouTube channel.

Health

On March 10, 2022, Hailey had a sudden health issue that caused symptoms like a stroke. She went to the hospital and was released the next day. In a video she shared, she explained that she had a mini-stroke. This was caused by a small hole in her heart, which she had surgery to fix.

In November 2022, she shared that she had an ovarian cyst on her ovary. She said it was "the size of an apple" and that she had experienced such cysts a few times before.

On April 20, 2023, Hailey spoke about her mental health. She said she had been "fragile" since the start of the year. This was due to online rumors about a disagreement between her and singer Selena Gomez.
