Haitai (Hangul: 해태) is a well-known company from South Korea. It is based in Seoul, the capital city. Haitai makes and sells many different kinds of food. Their main products include tasty confectionery (like candies and cakes), refreshing beverages, and delicious ice cream.

Haitai started a long time ago, on October 3, 1945. This was right after World War II. The company has grown a lot since then. It has 8 factories in different cities across South Korea. These include Cheonan, Anyang, and Gwangju. About 3,900 people work for Haitai.

In October 2004, another Korean company called Crown Confectionery bought Haitai. This made Haitai part of a bigger food group.

What Does Haitai Make?

Oh! Yes Choco Cake

The Oh! Yes Choco Cake (Hangul: 오예스) is a very popular treat from Haitai. It is a square-shaped cake. Each box of Oh! Yes Choco Cakes usually has twelve cakes. Each cake is wrapped separately.

The cake has two soft, white cake layers. In between these layers is a creamy, chocolate-flavored filling. The whole cake is covered in chocolate. It also has a wavy design of dark chocolate on top. This makes it look extra fancy.

Oh! Yes Choco Cakes are enjoyed in many countries. They are brought to the United States by USA Haitai, Inc. In the Philippines, Dynamex Inc. distributes them. Redfrog Enterprises Ltd. brings them to Canada.

Honey Series Snacks

Haitai played a big part in starting the "honey butter" craze in South Korea. This happened around 2014. They first released the Honey Butter Chips. These chips had a sweet and savory honey butter flavor.

After the chips, Haitai made other honey-flavored snacks. These included Honey Tong Tong and Honey Corn Pop. Many other food companies then started making their own honey butter snacks. This showed how popular Haitai's idea became.
