Instead, it's part of a larger area called Silver Creek Township. Some parts of Hamburg are even found within the nearby towns of Clarksville and Sellersburg.
The Story of Hamburg
Hamburg was first established in the year 1837. It was given its name after the famous city of Hamburg, which is located in Germany. For a short time, from the 1830s until the 1850s, Hamburg even had its own post office, helping people send and receive letters.
