Hanna Serhiivna Rizatdinova (Ukrainian: Ганна Сергіївна Різатдінова) is a famous Ukrainian rhythmic gymnast. She was born on July 16, 1993. Hanna is known for her amazing performances in the all-around event. She won a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games. She also earned silver and bronze medals at the World Championships. Hanna is a two-time European All-around bronze medalist.

Hanna Rizatdinova's Gymnastics Journey

Hanna started her gymnastics training in Simferopol. Her mother, Oksana Rizatdinova, was her first coach. Hanna showed great talent from a young age.

Early Success as a Junior

In 2008, Hanna won a silver medal at the Kyiv Junior World Cup. She was part of the Ukrainian team that won bronze at the 2008 European Junior Championships. This showed she was a rising star in rhythmic gymnastics.

Becoming a Senior Gymnast

Hanna joined the senior team and continued to achieve great things. She helped Team Ukraine win bronze medals at the 2011 World Championships and 2011 European Championships.

In 2012, Hanna had a successful World Cup series. She won several medals in different events. She also competed at the 2012 European Championships. Later that year, she represented Ukraine at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She finished 10th in the individual all-around final.

2013: A Golden Year

The year 2013 was very special for Hanna. She won gold in the all-around at the first World Cup series in Estonia. She continued to win many medals in other World Cup events.

At the 2013 European Championships, Hanna and her teammates won a silver medal for Ukraine. She also won a bronze medal in the all-around at the 2013 Summer Universiade.

Hanna made history at the 2013 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Kyiv. She won a gold medal in the hoop event. This was Ukraine's first gold medal at the World Championships since 2007! She also won a silver medal in the all-around competition. For her grace and skill, Hanna received the Longines Prize for Elegance.

2014: More Medals and Team Spirit

Hanna continued her strong performances in 2014. She won many silver and bronze medals in various World Cup events. At the 2014 European Championships, she earned an all-around bronze medal.

Later in 2014, Hanna and her teammates won a team bronze medal at the World Championships. She also won two individual bronze medals in clubs and ribbon. She finished with an all-around bronze medal, showing her consistent talent.

2015: European Games and Universiade Success

In 2015, Hanna started the season by winning gold at the L.A. Lights competition. She also swept all the gold medals at the Valentine Cup. She continued to win many medals in World Cup events throughout the year.

Hanna competed at the first-ever 2015 European Games. She won two silver medals in the ball and clubs events. At the 2015 Summer Universiade, she won an all-around silver medal. She also took home a gold in clubs, a silver in ball, and a bronze in ribbon.

At the 2015 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, Team Ukraine won a bronze medal. Hanna also won three individual bronze medals in hoop, clubs, and ribbon.

2016: Olympic Glory

The year 2016 was a highlight for Hanna. She won gold medals at the L.A. Lights and Valentine Cup. She continued to win many gold, silver, and bronze medals in World Cup events.

At the 2016 European Championships, Hanna won an all-around bronze medal. Her biggest achievement came at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. In the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around final, Hanna won the bronze medal! This was a huge moment for her and for Ukraine.

After the Olympics

Hanna retired from competitive gymnastics in 2017. She was invited as a special guest to the 2017 World Championships. Later that year, she welcomed her son, Roman, into the world.

About Hanna's Life

Hanna Rizatdinova was born in Simferopol, Crimea. Since 2011, she has lived in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her parents grew up in Russia before moving to Crimea. Her father has Kazan Tatar heritage.

During a time of change in Ukraine in 2013-2014, Hanna and her teammates had to move their training often. They needed to find safer places to practice. Hanna shared that it was a very scary time for them. She also stated that she would always compete for Ukraine.
