Hans Peter "Hansi" Müller (born 27 July 1957) is a German former professional footballer. He played as a midfielder. His parents were from a group called Danube Swabians, who were displaced from Yugoslavia after World War II.

Club Career Highlights
Hansi Müller started his football journey playing for his hometown team, VfB Stuttgart. He played there from 1975 to 1982.
After the 1982 FIFA World Cup, he moved to Italy. He played for Inter Milan for two seasons. After that, he spent one season with Como.
In 1985, Hansi moved to Austria. He joined FC Swarovski Tirol. He finished his playing career there in 1990.
Playing for His Country
Hansi Müller first played for the West Germany national team in 1978. He was only 22 years old when he played in the UEFA Euro 1980 tournament. He had also played in the 1978 FIFA World Cup before that.
The 1980 European Championship was a big moment for Müller. His team, West Germany, won the tournament! He also played in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. He made his last appearance for West Germany in 1983. In total, he scored five goals for his country.
Life After Football
After he stopped playing, Hansi Müller became an official ambassador. He represented the city of Stuttgart for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He also represented Innsbruck for the UEFA Euro 2008 tournament.

Hansi Müller was a very skillful playmaker in the midfield. He usually played in the center of the field. He was known for his smart passes and his excellent left foot. People also remembered him for his strong presence and leadership on the field.
