Exploring Harads
Harads is home to some interesting places. These include a historic church and a very unique hotel. Let's learn more about them.
Edefors Church
The Edefors Church is an important building in Harads. The church you see today was built in 1928. It was designed by an architect named John Åkerlund from Stockholm.
The church has a special look. It mixes different styles, like Nordic Classicism and National Romantic style. Nordic Classicism uses simple, classic shapes. National Romantic style often uses natural materials and traditional designs.
This church replaced an older one. The first church was built in 1888. Sadly, it was destroyed in a fire in 1918.
The Amazing Treehotel
Harads is also famous for the Treehotel complex. This hotel was created by Kent Lindvall in 2010. What makes it special? Its "rooms" are built high up in the trees!
The hotel rooms are nestled in a pine forest. Each room has a different design. They even have fun names like "Mirrorcube," "UFO," "Blue Cone," and "Bird's Nest."
The idea behind the Treehotel is sustainability. This means building and living in ways that protect the environment. It shows how we can enjoy nature without harming it.
