Bond's Mill: A Historic Settlement
- Bond's Mill was a settlement that started way back in 1872.
- It began when William Mitchell and Johnathon Cobbs opened sawmills. These mills were built along the shores of Clam Lake, which is now known as Lake Cadillac.
- A post office opened here on October 30, 1872. It was named Bond's Mill after its first postmaster, Myron Bond.
- The post office served the community for about 11 years, closing on November 30, 1883.
Haring: The Main Community
- Haring is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place.
- This means it's a recognized community within the township, but it doesn't have its own separate city government.
- It's located just north of the city of Cadillac.
Missaukee Junction: A Railroad Stop
- Missaukee Junction is another unincorporated community in the township.
