Harold Craig Bailey, born on April 12, 1957, is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He spent two seasons with the Houston Oilers. Before that, he played college football at Oklahoma State University. He was also part of the Montreal Concordes in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Early Life
Harold Craig Bailey was born in Houston, Texas. He went to Yates High School in Houston.
College Football Career
Bailey was a key player for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He played as a quarterback for four years, from 1976 to 1979. During his time there, he showed his skills both passing and running the ball.
As a senior in 1979, he had a strong season. He threw for over 1,300 yards and scored five touchdowns. He also ran for two touchdowns and even caught a pass for another touchdown.
Professional Football Career
Joining the Houston Oilers
The Houston Oilers picked Harold Bailey in the eighth round of the 1980 NFL draft. He was the 217th player chosen overall. He officially joined the team on June 15, 1980.
When he joined the Oilers, he changed his position. He became a wide receiver instead of a quarterback. He spent his first season, 1980, on injured reserve. This meant he couldn't play in games that year.
Playing for the Oilers
In 1981, Bailey played in 11 games for the Oilers. He mostly played on special teams, which are important parts of the game like kickoffs and punts.
The 1982 season was a big one for him. He started in all nine games he played. He caught 26 passes for a total of 367 yards. He also ran the ball once for 13 yards.
In 1983, Bailey had a health issue called peroneal nerve palsy. He was placed on injured reserve again and missed the entire season. The Oilers released him on August 20, 1984.
Time in the CFL
After his time with the Oilers, Bailey signed with the Montreal Concordes in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He joined them in September 1984. He made his first CFL appearance on September 3.
He started the next five games as a slotback for the Concordes. Overall, he played in six games during the 1984 CFL season. He caught 17 passes for 276 yards and scored one touchdown. He was released by the Concordes in June 1985.
