Where is Harrisburg?
Harrisburg is in the southwestern part of Cabarrus County. It shares borders with Concord to the north and Charlotte to the west. Charlotte is in Mecklenburg County.
A main road, North Carolina Highway 49, goes right through the middle of Harrisburg. This highway can take you about 57 miles northeast to Asheboro. Or, if you go southwest, it's about 13 miles to the center of Charlotte. The famous Charlotte Motor Speedway is only about 3 miles north of Harrisburg's town center. It is actually inside the city limits of Concord.
The town of Harrisburg covers about 11.15 square miles of land. There is no water area within the town limits.
