The Havering Museum is a cool local museum in Romford, London. It's all about the history and cool stuff from the five main towns in the Havering area. You can find it inside what used to be the old Ind Coope Romford Brewery. This makes it a special reminder of Romford's past as a brewing town. The museum is run completely by amazing volunteers and gets all its money from donations and its own activities.

Discovering Havering's Past
How the Museum Began
The idea for the Havering Museum started with a local historian named Ian Wilkes. In 2000, he created a group called "Friends Of Havering Museum." Thanks to lots of hard work from local people, the project grew. In 2008, they teamed up with the London Borough of Havering. They also received a special grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The museum finally opened its doors in May 2010.
Exploring Local Towns
The museum has different exhibits for five important places in the Havering area. Each section helps you learn about the unique history of these towns:
- Havering-atte-Bower
- Hornchurch
- Romford
- Rainham
- Upminster
