Hayfield is a community located in Fairfax County, Virginia, in the United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is an area that the government counts for population statistics. However, it is not an officially incorporated city or town. In 2010, the population of Hayfield was 3,909 people.
Where is Hayfield Located?
Hayfield is found in the southeastern part of Fairfax County. It shares its borders with several other communities. To the northwest, you will find Kingstowne. Rose Hill is located to the north of Hayfield. To the east, it borders Groveton. Finally, Fort Belvoir is situated to the south.
The main road that goes through Hayfield is Telegraph Road. This road travels northeast about 5 miles (8 km) to Alexandria. It also goes southwest about 4 miles (6 km) to U.S. Route 1 at Pohick.
