Heather Hazel Angel (born in 1941) is a famous British nature photographer. She is also a talented author and a television presenter. Heather owns and manages a special agency. This agency sells her amazing pictures for use in books, magazines, and online.

Heather Angel's father was an officer in the RAF (Royal Air Force). Her mother, Hazel le Rougetel, is also an author. She writes about the history of gardens.

Heather went to many different schools. She attended 14 schools in England and New Zealand. Later, she studied zoology (the study of animals) at Bristol University. She earned her master's degree in 1965. After her studies, she became a successful nature photographer and author.

In 1982 and 1983, Heather hosted a TV show. It was called "Making the Most of…". The show was on Channel 4 and encouraged people to enjoy the British countryside. She even wrote a book called Heather Angel's Countryside to go with the TV series.

Heather was asked to photograph Charles, Prince of Wales, who is now King Charles III. In 1985, she was also a special guest. She visited the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.

She has received many important honors. In 1986, she received an Honorary Doctorate of Science from the University of Bath. This is a special award for her achievements. Since 1994, she has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Nottingham.

From 1984 to 1986, Heather was the President of the Royal Photographic Society. She also started their Nature Group. In 1998, a group in the USA called the BioCommunications Association gave her a special award. It was called the Louis Schmidt Laureate. She is also a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography. This means she is a highly skilled professional photographer. She is also a vice-president of the Nature in Art Trust.

Heather's photography exhibition was called Natural Visions. It traveled around the UK from 2000 to 2004. It was also shown in other countries. These included Kuala Lumpur, Cairo, and Beijing.
