A Look Back: Heber's History
Heber was started in 1903 by a group called the Imperial Land Company. The first post office in Heber opened in 1904. Before that, it was a post office called Bradtmoore, located a little further north. The town was named after A.H. Heber, who was the president of the California Development Company.
