Hebersham is a friendly suburb located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It's about 47 kilometres west of the main city centre of Sydney. Hebersham is part of the City of Blacktown, which is a local government area, and it's also part of the bigger Greater Western Sydney region.

A Look Back in Time
Hebersham got its name to honor a special person named Reginald Heber. He was an Anglican Bishop from Calcutta (a city in India). His church area, called a diocese, included New South Wales back then.
In 1829, some people called the Trustees of the Clergy and Schools Lands had a plan. They wanted to build a village named Hebersham. This village was meant to be on the Western Highway, west of Eastern Creek. That village was never built. However, the name Hebersham was later used for the suburb we know today.
