Eastern Creek is a suburb located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is about 35 kilometers west of the main city center of Sydney. This area is part of the City of Blacktown and is found in the wider Greater Western Sydney region.
Eastern Creek is well-known for its exciting sports venues. It is home to Sydney Motorsport Park and the Western Sydney International Dragway. It was also once the site of a popular amusement park called Wonderland Sydney. The suburb is located west of the Prospect Reservoir.

History of Eastern Creek
Eastern Creek got its name from a stream that flows through the area. This stream is the eastern branch of South Creek. Over time, a small village grew up where a main road crossed this stream. People started calling this village Eastern Creek, after the stream itself.

In 2016, a census showed that 827 people lived in Eastern Creek. Most of the people, about 62.7%, were born in Australia. Also, 64.3% of residents spoke only English at home. When it came to religion, the most common answer was Catholic, at 33.0%. About 16.9% of people said they had no religion.

Former Wonderland Sydney
From 1985 to 2004, Eastern Creek was home to Wonderland Sydney. This was a very large and popular amusement park with rides and attractions. After it closed, the land was redeveloped. It is now a business park called Interchange Park.
