A Fun Fact About Hector's Name
Did you know Hector got its name from a dog? It's true! The town was named by President Grover Cleveland himself. Postal officials were having trouble because residents couldn't decide between "Avondale" or "The Plain" for the town's name. So, President Cleveland stepped in and named it after his own dog, Hector!
