Helga Guitton (born December 18, 1942) is a well-known German radio and television presenter. She worked as a disc jockey and interviewer for RTL. Many people remember her as the presenter of the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest.

Helga Guitton worked for RTL from 1964 to 1994. She had a long and successful career in broadcasting.
Early Days in Radio
On Radio Luxemburg, Helga Guitton co-hosted a show called Tag Schatz, Tag Scherz. She worked with Jochen Pützenbacher. They worked so well together that some people thought they were a couple. In 1983, she showed great support for a colleague. She insisted on co-hosting a special show to remember him after he passed away. She became very emotional during the broadcast.
Hosting Television Shows

In the 1990s, she moved to RTL plus, which is now known as RTL television. In 1988, she teamed up with Rainer Holbe. They hosted an interview show where they talked with many VIPs, or very important people. Helga Guitton later said that these "Liebe ist..." interviews were her favorite and most successful work. She felt that her show Radio Telex was her biggest challenge.
Famous Interviews
One of her most talked-about interviews was in 1985. She interviewed the famous actor Klaus Kinski. He was quite difficult during the interview, eating and drinking the whole time. Only half an hour of their conversation was shown on TV. This interview can be seen on a DVD called Kinski Talks I, released in 2010.
Eurovision Song Contest
On April 7, 1973, Helga Guitton had a very special job. She was the main presenter for the Eurovision Song Contest. This is a huge international music competition.
After Broadcasting
After leaving her career in radio and television, Helga Guitton started a new path. She became a coach, helping people with their style and how they act.
