Hermann Gunnarsson (born December 9, 1946 – died June 4, 2013) was a very famous person from Iceland. People often called him by his nickname, Hemmi Gunn. He was known for many things, including being a popular TV and radio host. He was also a talented athlete who played both football and handball at a high level for his country.

Hermann is remembered as one of Iceland's greatest sports stars in both football and handball. He even played basketball for a club team, Valur, but he never played for the national basketball team.

Media Star

Hermann became very famous for hosting a popular talk show called Á tali hjá Hemma Gunn. This show was on the public TV channel Sjónvarpið for many years in the 1980s and 1990s. It was one of the most watched shows in Icelandic TV history.

After taking a break from the public eye, he returned to television in 2005. He hosted a music game show on Stöð 2. In 2006, he started a new weekly talk show on the same channel. Hermann also released music albums and hosted a radio show on Bylgjan.
