Hilee Delano Taylor, born on July 18, 1986, is a former American football player. He played as a defensive end, a position on the defense that tries to stop the other team's offense.
The Carolina Panthers picked him in the 2008 NFL draft. He also played for the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. Later, he joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

College Football Career
Hilee Taylor played college football at the University of North Carolina. During his senior year, he was a star player. He led his team, the Tar Heels, in sacks. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the opposing team's quarterback behind the line of scrimmage.
He had 10.5 sacks that season, which was one of the best in the nation. He also made 16 tackles that stopped the offense from gaining yards. Plus, he caused three fumbles, which means the opposing team dropped the ball.
Professional Football Career
Playing for the Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers chose Hilee Taylor in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL draft. This meant he was one of the last players picked that year. He played for the Panthers for three seasons. During his time there, he made four tackles and one sack.
Moving to Other NFL Teams
After the 2011 NFL season, the Panthers decided to release him. This means they let him go from their team. The Detroit Lions then picked him up. However, Hilee decided not to join the Lions and announced he was retiring from football.
Later, on November 9, he changed his mind and decided to play again. The NFL allowed him to return. But the Lions released him shortly after he came back.
In 2012, Hilee Taylor signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for them for a short time.
