Hilltop Hoods are a famous Australian hip hop group. They started way back in 1991 in Adelaide, South Australia. The group was founded by two friends, Suffa (Matthew Lambert) and Pressure (Daniel Smith). Later, DJ Debris (Barry Francis) joined them in 1999. They are known for their special Australian hip hop sound.
Since they began, Hilltop Hoods have released many successful albums. Their first album, Back Once Again, came out in 1997. They have released eight studio albums and several other special "restrung" albums.
Amazing Achievements
Hilltop Hoods have achieved incredible success in Australia. Six of their albums have reached number one on the ARIA Charts. The ARIA Charts are like the official music charts in Australia. This means their music is very popular!

Many of their songs have also been big hits. Several tracks have made it into the top 10 on the ARIA Singles Chart. These include "Chase That Feeling" (2009) and "I Love It" (2011), which featured the singer Sia. Their songs "Cosby Sweater" (2014) and "1955" (2016) were also very popular, reaching the top 5. "1955", which featured Montaigne and Tom Thum, even reached number 2!
Touring the World
Hilltop Hoods don't just make music; they also perform it live! They have toured all over Australia and in other countries too. They have played at many famous music festivals, giving their fans a chance to see them perform.

Awards and Recognition
The band has won many awards for their music. They are one of the most popular groups in the history of the Triple J Hottest 100. This is an annual countdown of the most popular songs voted by listeners. Hilltop Hoods have had 21 songs voted into this countdown since 2003!
They have also won several ARIA Music Awards. These are Australia's biggest music awards.
- In 2006, they won "Best Independent Release" and "Best Urban Album" for The Hard Road.
- In 2007, they won "Best Urban Album" again for their remix album, The Hard Road: Restrung.
- They won "Best Urban Album" in 2009 for State of the Art and in 2012 for Drinking from the Sun.
- In 2009, DJ Debris also won "Engineer of the Year" for his work on State of the Art.
- In 2014, Walking Under Stars won them their seventh ARIA award for "Best Urban Album".
These awards show how much their music is loved and respected in Australia.
