Hingham is a small community in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, in the United States. It's not a city or a village with its own government, but it's a special area called a census-designated place (CDP). This means the U.S. government counts its population for official records.
Hingham is located northeast of Adell and southeast of Waldo. It has its own post office with the ZIP code 53031. In 2010, about 886 people lived there. By 2020, the population had grown slightly to 899 people.
History
Hingham was officially planned out on September 5, 1850. A man named Edward Hobart created the first map of the area. He bought the land from Mrs. David Giddings. She had originally purchased it from the U.S. government in 1846.
The first streets in Hingham were named Water, Center, Spring, South, and Main. The community was named after Hingham, Massachusetts, a town in another state.
