Hirokazu Ninomiya (二宮 洋一, born November 22, 1917 – died March 7, 2000) was a Japanese football player and manager. He was a talented forward who played for the Japan national team. He also had the important role of managing the national team.

Playing for Clubs: Keio BRB
Hirokazu Ninomiya was born in Hyogo Prefecture on November 22, 1917. He played for a football team called Keio BRB. This team was made up of players who were students or graduates from Keio University.
During his time with Keio BRB, Ninomiya helped his team win the Emperor's Cup many times. The Emperor's Cup is one of the most important football tournaments in Japan. He won it an amazing seven times in these years:

Playing for Japan: The National Team
Hirokazu Ninomiya first played for the Japan national team on June 16, 1940. He was still a student at Keio University at that time. Japan played against the Philippines and won the game.
This match was very special because it was the first time Japan's national team had played since the 1936 Summer Olympics. It was also the only international match Japan played in the 1940s. This was due to World War II, which caused many sports events to be put on hold.
After World War II ended, the Japan national team started playing again in 1951. Ninomiya was part of the team at the 1951 Asian Games. He even played as a "playing manager," meaning he was both a player and the coach at the same time! He also played in the 1954 Asian Games. In total, he played 6 games for Japan and scored 1 goal before he stopped playing in 1954.
Coaching the National Team
After World War II, in 1951, Hirokazu Ninomiya was chosen to be the manager for the Japan national team. This was for the 1951 Asian Games. He coached 3 matches while also playing in them. After the 1951 Asian Games, he stepped down from his role as manager.
Later Life and Legacy
Hirokazu Ninomiya passed away on March 7, 2000, in Tokyo. He was 82 years old.
In 2006, his great contributions to Japanese football were recognized. He was chosen to be part of the Japan Football Hall of Fame. This is a special honor for people who have made a big impact on football in Japan.
