How the Tournament Worked

- The match between Peru and Austria was very controversial. Peru won 4-2 in extra time. However, there was a pitch invasion during the game. Because of this, the match was declared invalid. It was decided that the game should be replayed. Peru did not agree with this decision and left the tournament. So, Austria was given the win automatically.

With Peru out, Austria moved on to the semi-finals.
