The 1934 FIFA World Cup was a big football (soccer) tournament. It happened in Italy during 1934. Italy won the championship by beating Czechoslovakia in the final match. This was only the second time the World Cup had ever been held!

The Final Match

The big final game was played in Rome on June 10, 1934. Italy played against Czechoslovakia. The game was very close and went into extra time. Italy scored the winning goal and became the champions!
