Hoberg is a small village located in Lawrence County, Missouri, in the United States. It is a quiet place with a small number of residents. According to the 2020 census, 48 people lived there.
History of Hoberg
Hoberg got its name from Henry Hoberg, who was one of the first people to settle in the area. A special office for mail, called a post office, was opened in Hoberg in 1905. This post office served the community for many years. It finally closed its doors in 1968.
Geography of Hoberg
Hoberg is situated on the southwest side of the Spring River. This river flows nearby and is an important natural feature of the area. The village is also about three miles southwest of a larger town called Mount Vernon.
A Missouri Pacific Railroad line runs along the northeast side of Hoberg. This railway connects the community to other places. The village itself is quite small in terms of land area. It covers about 0.05 square miles (0.14 square kilometers), and all of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the village limits.
