Hoeilaart is a small town in Belgium. It's located in the province of Flemish Brabant. As of 2019, about 11,325 people live there. The name Hoeilaart comes from old Gallic-Celtic words meaning 'a high clearing in the woods'. People who live here are sometimes called Hoeilanders or Doenders. Hoeilaart is also known as 'The Glass Village'. This is because many years ago, people grew grapes in special glass greenhouses there.
