Holbrook is a small, quiet place located in Oneida County, Idaho, in the United States. It is an unincorporated community. This means it is a place where people live, but it does not have its own local government like a city or town.

Where is Holbrook, Idaho?

Holbrook is found in the western part of Oneida County. It sits where two state highways meet: Highway 37 and Highway 38. This community is about 25 miles (40 km) west of Malad City. Malad City is the main town and county seat for Oneida County.

Holbrook's Early History

Holbrook was first settled in the late 1890s. People from Mendon, Utah and nearby areas moved here. They came because there was land available for them to build homes and farms. The community was named after Heber Angell Holbrook. He was an important local leader in the early Mormon Church.

Population Changes Over Time

In 1909, about 100 people were estimated to live in Holbrook. By 1960, the population had become much smaller, with only 10 people living there.
