How Holbrook Got Its Name
The community of Holbrook was named after a man named Philo Holbrook. He was an early pioneer, which means he was one of the first people to settle in this area. Philo Holbrook owned a farm nearby, and the community was named in his honor.
Holbrook's Post Office
For many years, Holbrook had its own post office. This post office opened in 1887. It helped people in the community send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the area for a long time, but it eventually closed in 1933.
