Holly Grove is a small city located in Monroe County, Arkansas, in the United States. In 2020, about 460 people lived there. This number was a bit smaller than in 2010, when 602 people called Holly Grove home.

A Look Back in Time
Holly Grove began as a small farming community. It was like a neighborhood of a nearby town called Lawrenceville. Lawrenceville used to be the main town of Monroe County until 1857.
In 1872, a railroad called the Arkansas Central Railway was built through Holly Grove. This railroad helped Holly Grove grow bigger, while Lawrenceville became smaller. Holly Grove officially became a city in 1876.
Where is Holly Grove?
Holly Grove is located in the southern part of Monroe County. It is about 11 miles (18 km) southwest of Clarendon, which is the main town of the county. It is also about 18 miles (29 km) west of Marvell.
The United States Census Bureau says that the city covers about 1.0 square mile (2.6 km²) of land. A very small part, about 0.02 square miles (0.05 km²), is water.
