The Hollywood Reservation, once called the Dania Reservation, is a special piece of land. It is one of six Indian reservations that belong to the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The United States government officially recognizes the Seminole Tribe as a sovereign nation.

This reservation is located near Hollywood, Florida. It shares borders with the towns of Hollywood and Davie. Both towns are in Broward County. The Hollywood Reservation covers about 497 acres (2.01 square kilometers) of land.

What is a Reservation?

An Indian reservation is land set aside by the government for Native American tribes. These lands are managed by the tribes themselves. They are like homelands where tribal members can live and keep their traditions alive. Reservations help protect the culture and history of Native American people.

Other Seminole Lands in Florida

The Hollywood Reservation is just one of the Seminole Tribe's lands. The Seminole Tribe of Florida has several other reservations across the state. Each one is an important part of the tribe's territory.
