The Hollywood Wax Museum in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is a cool place where you can see lifelike wax figures of famous people. It's one of several wax museums owned by the family of Spoony Singh, who started the very first Hollywood Wax Museum.
This museum opened its doors on June 14, 2014. You can find it at 21st Avenue North and U.S. 17 Bypass, right inside the popular Broadway at the Beach area. Inside, you'll discover wax figures of many United States celebrities from movies, TV shows, and music. There's even a special area dedicated to NASCAR and another section with figures of famous movie villains.
The building itself is a tribute to the U.S. film industry. Look closely and you'll see a giant 35-foot-tall ape, known as the Great Ape of Myrtle Beach, climbing the Empire State Building. This is a fun nod to the classic movie, King Kong (1933 film).
