Hollywood Wax Museum in Myrtle Beach

This amazing museum opened its doors on June 14, 2014. You can find it at 21st Avenue North and U.S. 17 Bypass, right inside the popular Broadway at the Beach entertainment area.

The museum is famous for its cool collection of wax figures. You'll see incredibly lifelike models of famous people from movies, TV shows, and music. There's even a special area dedicated to NASCAR and a spooky section with figures of horror villains!

The building itself is a giant tribute to the film industry in the United States. Look up and you'll see a huge 35-foot-tall Great Ape of Myrtle Beach climbing the side, just like King Kong (1933 film) on the Empire State Building! It's a fantastic photo opportunity before you even go inside.

Explore the Museum!

The Hollywood Wax Museum is part of a bigger fun spot called the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center. This means there are other exciting things to do in the same building! You can also try Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors, where you'll get lost in a world of reflections, and Outbreak – Dread the Undead, a thrilling zombie-themed adventure.

The wax figures and the sets around them are always changing, so there's often something new to see. You might even find a prop vault, which is like a treasure chest of movie props, or a laser maze where you can test your agility. Don't forget to check out the gift shop on your way out! It's packed with cool celebrity souvenirs and fun items like mini award statues.

Other Hollywood Wax Museum Locations

Did you know there are other Hollywood Wax Museums? The very first one opened in 1965 in Hollywood, California. It's where the whole idea began!

Since then, more museums have opened:

Each museum has its own unique collection of wax figures, but they all share the fun and excitement of Hollywood!
