Holy Trinity Church in Exmouth is a beautiful old church in England. It is part of the Church of England. This church is very special because it is a Grade II* listed building. This means it's an important historical building that needs to be protected.

A Look Back in Time

Building the Church

The church was built a long time ago, between 1824 and 1825. A wealthy person named John Rolle, 1st Baron Rolle paid for it. It cost a lot of money back then, about £13,000!

Changes Over the Years

Later, in 1856, John Rolle's wife, Lady Rolle, added a part called the chancel. Then, between 1905 and 1907, their nephew Mark Rolle decided to completely redesign the church. He hired an architect named George Fellowes Prynne to do the work.

Today, Holy Trinity Church is part of the same church area as St Margaret and St Andrew's Church, Littleham, Exmouth.

The Church Organ

A Musical History

The church has a wonderful organ. The original organ was made bigger in 1878 by H.P. Dicker. It was fixed up again in 1909.

Rebuilding the Organ

In 1953, the organ was completely rebuilt and made even larger by John Compton. If you want to know all the details about this organ, you can find them on the National Pipe Organ Register website.
