Horicon is a town in Warren County, New York, United States. It is part of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. Horicon is located on the county's northern border and is nestled inside the beautiful Adirondack Park. In 2010, about 1,389 people lived here.

The Story of Horicon
Horicon was first settled around the year 1800. The town officially became a town in 1838. It was created from parts of two other towns: Hague and Bolton.

Horicon covers about 71.8 square miles (186.1 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, but about 5.7 square miles (15.8 square kilometers) is water. The northern edge of the town borders Essex County.
Roads and Landmarks
New York State Route 8 is an important highway that runs through Horicon. It helps people travel east and west across the town.
Horicon is also home to the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation. This is a large Boy Scout camp. It is owned by the Westchester-Putnam Council.

- Pottersville – A community near the western town line by Schroon Lake. Most of this community is in the Town of Chester.
- Schroon Lake – A large lake that is partly in the northwestern part of Horicon.
- South Horicon – A community in the southwestern part of the town.
- Starbuckville – A community located west of the Brant Lake community.
